Hollowmark Legends

Hollowmark Legends is a proper RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based, party members each have a distinct role, and the writing is better than most mobile games bother with. The world is gloomy in a good way, full of ruined towns and quiet mysteries.

Combat rewards planning your skill order — buffs first, then burst, then cleanup. There's an auto-battle option for grinding, but the boss fights force you to take manual control, which I appreciate. The gear system is deep without drowning you in menus.

The story pacing sags in the middle third, and there's a bit too much backtracking. But the ending stuck with me, and the party banter kept me going through the slow parts.
